CRM and DMS connections

Keep an external business system and MAY aligned through a defined contract.

Define the source of truth

Agree which system owns customer identity, product availability, price, lead state and external identifiers. Keep source timestamps and a stable mapping. A generic CRM/DMS label is not a promise of a native connector to every vendor.

Implement and validate

  1. Choose a supported connector or an explicitly implemented API/webhook integration.
  2. Limit credentials and scopes to the intended business and operations.
  3. Map required fields and validate formats, identifiers and update ownership.
  4. Test creation, updates, duplicate events, missing records and provider failure.
  5. Reconcile results and preserve an audit reference before enabling production writes.

Custom systems

For an unimplemented DMS, proprietary endpoint or new workflow, describe the integration through Custom development. Confirm the contract and provider access before promising automated synchronisation.
